- BMASTER6.ZIP 286318 05-24-94 Blaster Master 6.0 is a tool kit for working
- | with raw, uncompressed Sound Blaster VOC
- | files. NEW: works with any sound card that
- | has a DOS based, textual utility for playing
- | and recording files in native mode,
- | increased subdirectory array to 110 entries.
- | (Gary Maddox, reg. fee: $50)
- DMP09.ZIP 65085 05-24-94 Digital Music Player 0.9 is a multi-threaded
- | MOD player for OS/2 2.x designed to operated
- | in the background while you work with other
- | applications. Requires a digital capable
- | audio adapter. (Aria, reg. fee: $20)
- GTDOS170.ZIP 109849 05-02-94 Guitar Teacher 1.71 displays chord structure
- | for all the major, minor, seventh, major
- | seventh, minor seventh, suspended fourth,
- | and seventh suspended fourth. (Celista
- | Software, reg. fee: $15)
- KMM.ZIP 152718 05-17-94 Kinetic Music Machine is an algorithmic
- | composing program particularly suited to
- | developing original material. It consists of
- | a multi-page workspace, and a toolbox of
- | computation functions, abstractly
- | represented as synth modules, complete with
- | output and inputs. These are connected in
- | real time with the mouse, as you listen to
- | the changes. Technically, the program is
- | considered a direct manipulation
- | metalanguage. This puts it about halfway
- | between a music programming language and a
- | video game. All input is with the mouse,
- | where you are either connecting modules
- | together tinker toy fashion, or you are
- | dialing in parameter values. The program
- | features constant real time feedback: every
- | change you make is immediately seen and
- | heard. Simple patterns are done almost
- | instantly, and then step by step you can go
- | on to develop the patterns into full musical
- | compositions of virtually unlimited
- | complexity and subtlety. (Software Tools for
- | Artists, reg. fee: $79)
- ME404.ZIP 430688 05-24-94 MusicEase 4.04 lets you create, edit, print,
- | and play music notation. (RMH Computer
- | Services, reg. fee: $49)
- MELPRO.ZIP 166118 05-17-94 Melodia/Pro is an algorithmic composing
- | program set up as groups of
- | musical/algorithmic process such as step
- | sequencers and random generators. You make
- | connections to these processes while the
- | music is running in real time, and modify
- | the processes as you listen to the changes.
- | Although the musical compositions created
- | with Melodia can be quite similar to those
- | created by KMM, Melodia is higher level in
- | concept and use, more like a spreadsheet
- | than a programming language. It includes
- | powerful built in tools for converting ASCII
- | text, DNA sequences, and integer data files
- | of almost any type to musically intelligible
- | patterns and source material. For maximum
- | performance a 486/33 cpu or better is
- | recommended. (Software Tools for Artists,
- | reg. fee: $79)
- MELSC.ZIP 200945 05-17-94 Melodia / Sound Card is an algorithmic
- | composing program for all Adlib compatible
- | sound cards. It includes an editor/librarian
- | for the FM sound generator. (Software Tools
- | for Artists, reg. fee: $19)
- MELTS.ZIP 119331 05-17-94 Melodia/TS is another of the Melodia series
- | of algorithmic music programs that share a
- | similar interface but use different methods
- | to generate the music. It uses a table
- | sequencer which provides smart multi-level
- | stage sequencing, similar to what was
- | available on the old modular studio
- | synthesizers, but far more sophisticated. It
- | also uses a unique type of rhythm generator,
- | a bouncing ball confined in a box, that is
- | fun to use and very musical. (Software Tools
- | for Artists, reg. fee: $69)
- TVMODS.ZIP 438153 05-24-94 TV MODS is a collection of five television
- | them songs in MOD format. (reg. fee: $0)
